Limburg: Pearl of the Lahn valley

View of the Romanesque ’St. George’s Cathedral‘ from the north-west above the historic medieval old part of town and the River Lahn (in the foreground left).
The cathedral with its mighty facade and the seven spires dates back to the 10th century and has been the centre of the diocese of Limburg since 1827.

Limburg is especially well-known beyond the German borders for its excellently restored and vivid old part of town. A visit of the district town is always worthwhile and it is only five kilometres away from Lindenholzhausen.

More information and details as well as pictures of Limburg can be found here at the official website of the municipal authority of Limburg.
